The city of New Orleans is ready to welcome you. Located on the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico, New Orleans is known as a melting pot of French, African and American cultures. It is also home to Harry Hurst Middle School and St. Charles Parish Public Schools
— the 2021 National Service-Learning Conference co-host.
The school is located about twenty miles upriver from New Orleans. The Mississippi flows through the heart of the parish and creates one of the most intense industrial concentrations in the nation. In this community rich in industry, St. Charles Parish's educational system ranks among the finest in the nation. The system offers a quality education supported by innovative classroom technology. Students consistently score well above the state and national averages on standardized test. More than 60% of the graduating seniors enter college.
Students in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism (HRT) Administration program at the Satellite Center in Luling, Louisiana, invite you to sample the many fun and educational opportunities while you are in the area. Here are their recommendations.
All conference programming will take place here unless otherwise noted.
