As the service-learning field rises to meet current challenges, the National Youth Leadership Council is dedicated to advancing the field as a whole by offering resources and collaborating with partners. Through collective action on public policy, advocacy, research, and partnerships, NYLC provides leadership alongside other organizations and individuals for expanding the platforms of opportunity for achieving outcomes through service-learning. NYLC is committed to inspiring and leading the service-learning movement. Thanks to generous funding support secured in 2012, NYLC is working with Artemis Strategies, a bipartisan government affairs and strategic communications firm located on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, to advance the outcomes for children and youth, education, and communities through service-learning. NYLC’s goal is to increase the national visibility of service-learning and to gain new champions both on Capitol Hill and in classrooms across the United States.
