Keynote speeches by historian Howard Zinn and human rights activist Hafsat Abiola.

The National Service-Learning Conference is the largest gathering of youths and practitioners involved in the service-learning movement. The 2005 conference drew roughly 2,900 attendees from across the United States and 41 other countries. The conference connects participants with service-learning leaders through three days of plenary sessions, featured forums, and service projects. It also provides access to new ideas and networking opportunities, with more than 200 workshops and countless opportunities for informal meetings.

The 17th Annual National Service-Learning Conference is presented by NYLC and the Institute for Global Education and Service-Learning in partnership with Youth Service America, with partnering sponsorship from the State Farm Companies Foundation and major support from Drexel University.
