Veteran NYLC Youth Advisory Council Members Siddharth Damania and Julia Sewell Selected for National Youth-led Teams

Siddharth Damania, a former member — now Special YAC Advisor — of NYLC’s Youth Advisory Council has been selected to represent NYLC on the State Farm® Youth Advisory Board. The group of 30 young adults from across the United States and Canada is responsible for granting approximately $5 million to other youth initiatives. Siddharth says that he looks forward to monitoring the progress of the service-learning projects the Youth Advisory Board funds, and is honored to be involved in projects that will “truly change the world.”

Julia Sewell, who is also a Special YAC Advisor, has been chosen to serve on the Youth Partnership Team for America’s Promise Alliance. Like Siddharth, Julia’s background includes serving on NYLC’s Youth Advisory Council and on the State Farm® Youth Advisory Board. Julia is elated to join the Youth Partnership Team, which will serve as a leadership and advisory board for the national organization’s activities and decision-making. She believes that “the world will be changed through the youth of today and tomorrow,” and is excited to be a part of this change.
