NYLC Launches Spring Online Seminars
Beginning in March, NYLC will host a series of four online seminars that will link service-learning practitioners from around the world with leading experts on youth voice, the history of service-learning, service-learning research, and curriculum.
These hour-long sessions will feature presentations by a panel of experts, questions-and-answer exchanges, and dialogue. No special technology is required — only access to the internet and a telephone.
Kari Arfstrom, NYLC’s Vice President of Development, Marketing and Public Policy, is hopeful that these webinars will fill a growing need for high-quality, inexpensive professional development. “We are excited to launch this series of amazing webinars. NYLC has so much knowledge to offer about service-learning, and this is a way that we will be able to share that information with service-learning practitioners throughout the year,” she says.
Whether you are new to service-learning or have been practicing service-learning in your school for years, we know that you will be able to gain new and valuable during these sessions.
Sessions cost $29 each. Participants may register for single sessions or for the entire series. Each presentation will be offered twice on the day of the event.
Session I – 9:00 a.m.(PT), 10:00 a.m. (MT), 11:00 a.m. (CT), 12:00 noon (ET)
Session II – 1:00 p.m. (PT), 2:00 p.m. (MT), 3:00 p.m. (CT), 4:00 p.m. (ET)
