NYLC Announces Search for CEO

As NYLC’s CEO, founder, and president Jim Kielsmeier transitions out of the daily operations of NYLC and into more international and policy work, the nonprofit known for its leadership in advancing service-learning is seeking a new CEO.

Kielsmeier, who started the organization in 1983 as a coalition of youth councils, will continue as CEO through this year and will support the organization’s mission through ongoing national policy work, research, writing, and international outreach after January.

“Jim has built an exceptional foundation over his many years of service,” says NYLC Board Chair Jim Scheibel. “We’re looking forward to the opportunities ahead and possibilities for expansion and growth.”

The new CEO is expected to begin in December, 2010. Interested candidates, or those suggesting sources or referrals, please contact Jill Harmon of Schall Executive Search or click here to see the job posting.
