New Interactive Module Now Available

We have just launched the newest module in our interactive tool Lift: Raising the Bar for Service-Learning Practice. The second in a series of eight, the reflection module provides educators with resources to help them understand and implement one of the most important aspects of a quality service-learning project.

Lift: Raising the Bar for Service-Learning Practice is an online interactive tool built around the eight K-12 Service-Learning Standards for Quality Practice. Since the release of these standards in 2008, educators everywhere have found them to be a valuable resource for designing and executing quality service-learning projects.

In Lift, NYLC presents the standards within the context of three schools — all differing in focus, grade level, and geography. Through these examples, we highlight strategies for implementing each standard, provide points of discussion for you and your colleagues, and give you access to tools to help in your implementation of quality service-learning.

Join the teachers already improving their practice by finding the Lift in the Generator School Network. To see what it’s all about, try it now.
