New Interactive Learning Module Now Available
Check out the latest module in our interactive tool for teachers, Lift: Raising the Bar for Service-Learning Practice. Designed to support professional development, this fourth in a series of eight modules focuses on the standard “youth voice” and illustrates high-quality practice through video vignettes profiling three sites across the country.
Lift is an online tool rooted in the eight K-12 Service-Learning Standards for Quality Practice. Since the release of these standards in 2008, educators everywhere have found them to be a valuable resource for designing and executing quality service-learning projects.
In Lift, NYLC presents the standards within the context of three schools — each differing in focus, grade level, and geography. Through these examples, we highlight strategies for implementing each standard, provide points of discussion for you and your colleagues, and give you access to pdf tools to help in your understanding and implementation of quality service-learning.
Join the teachers already improving their practice by finding the Lift in the Generator School Network. (Join for free.) To see what it’s all about, try it now.
