New 2010 Board Members

For 2010, NYLC welcomes three new members on its Board of Directors. We also thank departing members Jeff Smith, Betty Edwards, Shivani Bhatt, and Nancy Murphy for their dedicated service.

 

Amy Cohen

Amy is currently Associate Vice President for Child Development Programs at Save the Children, U.S. Programs where she oversees education, anti-obesity, and early childhood programs for young children, from birth to age 12, in poor, rural communities in 14 states. In addition, she oversees Save the Children’s domestic emergency preparedness and response work. Formerly Director of Learn and Serve America, she has also worked at the Penn Program for Public Service the University of Pennsylvania, an international leader in university-community partnerships, service-learning, and the development of community schools.

 

Marilyn Pash

Marilyn runs an independent consulting practice for non- and for-profit clients in fields of manufacturing, technology, healthcare, education, and financial services. Her business executes organizational assessments, plans team development events and retreats, and assists in strategic planning. Her clients have included the University of Minnesota, 3M, Pentair, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and the Minnesota Conservation Corps.

 

 

Pajnucci Vue

Pajnucci is a junior at Highland Park High School in St. Paul, MN. She has served on NYLC’s Youth Advisory Council since 2009, after attending the National Youth Leadership Training the previous summer. She holds leadership roles in a variety of community service and service-learning initiatives, from the Croix Leaders’ Club, to Students Today, Leaders Forever, to the St. Paul Public Schools Service-Learning Youth Advisory Council. Pajnucci’s interests range broadly from philanthropy for the developing world, to learning languages — she speaks three so far! — to curriculum development.
