NYLC Welcomes Summer Fellows

This summer a group of Youth Initiatives Fellows bring their talents and perspectives to NYLC’s programs. The high school and college-aged students assist NYLC on urban and youth initiatives as well as the Generator School Network, gaining real world experiences by working on an array of projects.

NYLC Offers Summer Graduate Credit Classes

This summer NYLC, in partnership with the liberal arts college Viterbo University, is offering a series of online professional development classes. The courses are one credit each and are offered through the Generator School Network (gsn.nylc.org). Membership in this community of service-learning practitioners is free.

Planning Underway for the National Service-Learning Conference

Planning is already underway for the 22nd Annual National Service-Learning Conference with the theme “The Time is Now!” The world’s largest gathering of service-learning practitioners and advocates will be held Atlanta, Ga., April 6-9, 2011. Already the conference is attracting national and local organizations as supporters.
