25 High Schools Selected for Project Ignition 2005-06

Once again, State Farm and NYLC's Project Ignition asked
schools and organizations across the country to take a closer look at
teen driver safety. Teams of students submitted project proposals, and
after careful judging and some lively debates, 25 semifinalists were
selected to receive $2,000 grants to implement their projects.
From those 25, up to 10 finalists will be selected to present their projects at The 17th Annual National Service-Learning Conference, March 22-25, 2006, in Philadelphia, where one project will be named Best in Show.
The
projects will tackle issues from seatbelt use and distracted driving to
drinking and driving. Students will use a wide array of approaches to
drive home their messages, including holding events, producing films
and public service announcements, running poster contests, and bringing
in speakers.
