Join a Planning Committee of the National Service-Learning Conference!

This conference relies on hundreds of volunteers in the months leading up to the conference and on-site. Get involved and help shape the conference by joining one of the following committees:

Entertainment Committee
The Entertainment committee works to coordinate musical/performance entertainment for the conference as well as recommends entertainment for the plenary stage.

Conference Service Corps Committee
The Conference Service Corps Committee recruits volunteers to help on-site during the conference. The committee works with student groups and community organizations to select and manage volunteers to assist with various projects at the conference.

On-Site Service-Learning Projects Committee
The On-Site Service-Learning Projects Committee coordinates 6-10 projects that conference attendees participate in on-site throughout the conference. Projects are meaningful yet able to be completed with a minimum time commitment. Past examples include making trauma dolls for children in hospitals, dying blocks for kids in Haiti, and collecting books for literacy programs.

Youth Committee
The Youth Committee coordinates conference activities that will be both educational and engaging for youth attending the conference. This committee works to organize workshops and networking activities that will be beneficial to all youth in attendance.

Social Media Team
This team assists NYLC with marketing the National Service-Learning Conference via various social media platforms. The committee will work before the conference to publicize conference deadlines and highlights, and will work during and after the conference to share conference photos and stories.

Your participation in a committee allows you to have a direct hand in programming elements of the conference. It also allows you to witness all your hard work coming together to create a spectacular, engaging event. Committee members will receive registration benefits.

NYLC will host a kick-off event this August in Denver  to gather everyone interested in supporting the conference. The kick-off meeting is the official start of conference planning and a great way to get informed and inspired!
