Path to Peace: Summer Workshop

Monday, June 20, 2011 (All day) - Wednesday, June 22, 2011 (All day)

Join experienced service-learning practitioners Nan Peterson and Lisa Sackreiter in a three-day workshop for public and private educators that includes service-learning best practices and hands-on service experience.

National service expert Drs. Pam and Jim Toole of Compass Institute will present new ideas about and research on service. Dr. Jenny Friedman of Doing Good Together will talk about the practice of building a culture of service in schools and individuals. And Kelita Svoboda Bak, CEO of NYLC, will share service-learning resources.

The workshop days will include visits to local service agencies, examples and discussion of authentic service learning, and time to reflect and rejuvenate in the Minneapolis area.
