National Park Service

Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - 8:30am - 12:00pm

NYLC professional development managers will provide training on service-learning for 50-60 National Parks Service Volunteer Managers. The training will provide a hands-on introduction to the cycle and process of planning and conducting a successful service-learning project, including integration of the K-12 Standards for Quality Service-Learning Practice. Participants will understand the difference between community service and service-learning, will gain project ideas relevant to the National Park system, and will leave with a variety of resources to access for further learning and planning after the training.
