International Association for Research on Service-learning and Community Engagement Annual Conference
Dr. Sue Root, Research Director at NYLC, will be one of several presenters at a pre-conference session titled, “Conversations that Matter: Towards a Research Agenda for Service-Learning in Teacher Education and P-12 Classrooms.” The session will investigate the strengths and limitations of the current research base in service-learning in teacher education and P-12 classrooms and review theoretical frameworks and methodologies appropriate to expanding the research base. Participants will contribute to an agenda for research on service-learning in teacher education which will identify best practices, impacts, implementation, and sustainability issues for future investigations.
