Celebration of Service

Semi-formal, traditional national dress, and other evening wear are all appropriate for the Celebration. Hors d’oeurves will be served. The event is not ticketed and will include a brief program at 6:30 p.m. Complimentary parking is available on site.
                                   
On December 3rd, friends, colleagues, and all touched by the work of NYLC’s Founder, President, and CEO, Jim Kielsmeier, will honor his 28 years of leadership at the National Youth Leadership Council. Held at the Minnesota History Center, the Celebration of Service will recognize Jim’s accomplishments as CEO, his contributions to the field of Service-Learning and experiential education, and his leadership in national education and youth policy and expanding international implications.

In addition to the “Celebration of Service” event, the board and staff of NYLC have established a fund in honor of Jim and his family. The Kielsmeier Leadership Fund will continue the work that has been central to Jim’s career and to his life’s passion: providing leadership experiences for young people. In lieu of gifts at the event, please consider making a gift to the Kielsmeier Leadership Fund.
