Workshop Title: Engaging Youth in Addressing the Achievement Gap

NYLC’s Smart. Youth Solutions to the Achievement Gap is about tackling the achievement gap head-on by educating, inspiring, and empowering the most important stakeholders of this program — youth — to take action and propose solutions toward closing the gap. This initiative is informed by research and NYLC’s more than 28 years of youth-led work. Smart is about empowering students to do what adults have been unable to accomplish: create transformative change in school districts and communities across the country.
