13th Annual Minnesota Mentoring Conference
The Minnesota Mentoring Conference is the region's only annual conference focused exclusively on supporting quality mentoring. This year's theme, Boosting Collective Action to Maximize Our Impact, draws upon the concept of collective impact, the commitment of a group of important actors from different sectors to a common agenda for solving a specific social problem.
Workshop: Service-Learning as Youth Engagement: Strategies for Mentoring Programs
In this workshop presented by Libby Rau, youth engagement specialist at the Minnesota Alliance With Youth, and NYLC’s Amanda Larson, explore how mentoring programs can engage in authentic youth adult partnerships through service-learning projects for youth and/or matches. Learn about the service-learning standards for quality practice and discover where your program is on the continuum of youth engagement in your program. Participants will apply the standards and strategies through an active investigation of different program models.
